software has been selected by USATODAY.com to deliver snapshots of the best
airfares found across the Web to users of its new travel Web site, USATODAY.com
Travel.
 
MarketView(TM) can be used to perform simultaneous searches of airline Web
sites and leading online travel agencies for comparative fares on popular
routes. The FareChase solution powers the “Fare Compare” data published each
Thursday by USATODAY.com Travel. It allows users to compare prices before
choosing where to purchase tickets.

 

  “USA TODAY`s readers travel frequently, and often book their travel
online. And like other Internet users, many compare prices before they buy,”

SVP of FareChase. “That`s why an estimated 20 percent of all travel will be
booked on the Internet this year.”
 
The National Business Travel Association recently found that 99 percent of
business travelers report that they find cheaper fares on the Web than
negotiated business rates provided by corporate travel managers.
