is to introduce a new breed of leisure travel called Flexi Holidays that is set to bank on the trend of free & easy travelling and to convert this interest into bookings.
Flexi Holidays will take the form of e-products and e-services after Chan Brothers launches an e-shopping cart on its Chanbrothers.com
website. This enhancement, which is in the pipeline, will draw more traffic to the one-stop travel portal that is already receiving 1.4 million monthly page views and serving 100,000 online members.
Free and easy travelling has been trend spotted as the next big thing in tourism industry for the past year. Travel savvy Singaporeans are steering to more “flexible” holidays which are not constrained by a string of terms & conditions. Traditionally, majority prefer to go on an all inclusive group tour.
Flexi Holidays hits bull`s eye by allowing travellers to “Get Away, Their Way”. It zeros in to offering travellers a no-frill “ala-carte” style of travel planning such that they can put together their free & easy get away and have it their way.
Chanbrothers.com launched in November 1999, offering online tour package bookings, real time hotel reservations, flight and car rental bookings and has page views in excess of 1.4m each month, generated close to S$30 million in e-commerce sales in its first year and nearly S$40 million in its second year.
