GetThere Launches Online Corporate Booking System

company, today announced that Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE: BBY) has launched
GetThere`s corporate online booking system to enable its business travelers to
make travel reservations online.  The rollout is part of an e-procurement
campaign introduced at Best Buy named Book It, Buy It, Expense It (B 2 E).
Best Buy`s B 2 E program provides employees access to online technology
via the company`s intranet that streamlines the purchase of travel and other
operational goods and services, in addition to enabling online expense
reimbursement.  The tools, including the GetThere travel booking system and
Ariba(R) Spend Management(TM) solutions, are aimed at reducing the time
required for completing these processes, while ensuring that corporate-
approved vendors and negotiated rates are used during the procurement process.
“Best Buy`s frequent travelers live on the road, traveling approximately
every five weeks from location to location to open new retail outlets.  They
appreciate the flexibility that online booking provides when planning their
next trip,” said Kerry Miller, travel manager at Best Buy.  “The GetThere
system is part of Best Buy`s spend management initiative to empower employees,
while keeping a rein on corporate expenses.”
Best Buy plans to reach 40 percent traveler adoption of the GetThere
travel management system within its first year of use.  The company also
expects to see a positive impact on its travel budget based on the 20 percent
savings that many corporations have achieved using online booking technology.
“Corporations today are in cost-cutting mode, but there is critical
business travel that must continue to ensure a company`s success,” said Tony
D`Astolfo, vice president of Sales at GetThere.  “GetThere provides a proven
online solution that allows corporations to manage and consistently reduce
those travel expenses.”
