, a leading travel procurement solutions provider, has strongly endorsed the Data Advisory Board`s (DAB) efforts to establish industry standards for the data required from corporations when negotiating airline discount agreements.
The DAB will issue a white paper covering these standards at the National Business Travel Association convention next month.
“eCLIPSE Advisors knows that uncompromised data is the lifeblood of the cost-saving procurement work we do on behalf of our corporate clients. As such, we hold ourselves to the highest levels of data integrity, ensuring the quality of the work we do for our clients,” said Michael Boult, chief operating officer of eCLIPSE. “Therefore, we enthusiastically approve the efforts by our partners, Hi-Mark, TRX and the rest of the members of the DAB in recognizing and taking steps to protect the sanctity of corporate data.”
“The articulation of data standards for the travel industry is both extremely significant and urgently needed,” Boult continued. “Corporate data should never be compromised by unnecessarily detailed negotiation requirements or questionable business practices. When this happens it reflects badly on the entire industry. We hope that the standards set forth by the DAB next month will resonate throughout the travel industry and foster a consistently high level of integrity for all parties.”
