American Airlines Brings a Slice of the Big Apple

American Airlines is bringing a slice of the Big Apple to Arizona today as
it launches two new daily nonstop flights from Phoenix to New York`s John
F. Kennedy Airport.

“For more than 70 years, Phoenix-area travelers have looked to American
Airlines to offer them a wide variety of destination and service choices
across our huge network. In that spirit, we are proud to offer these new
daily nonstops to New York,” said George Zeiner, American`s regional sales
manager - Pacific West Region.

to serve them best—with more flights to more destinations, a choice of
First- Class or Coach-class cabins, AAdvantage—the biggest frequent
flyer program, and great service at competitive fares.”

American now offers two daily nonstop flights from Phoenix to New York.
The first flight will leave at 12:30 p.m. and arrive in New York at 7:01
p.m. The second flight will depart Phoenix at 10:42 p.m. and arrive in New
York at 5 a.m. the next morning. American will operate the route with
Boeing 757-200 aircraft, configured with 22 First-Class and 166
Coach-Class seats.
In addition, American Airlines is celebrating the launch of the new
Phoenix-New York JFK service with fares as low as $79 each way*, based on
round-trip purchase, and the chance to earn double AAdvantage(R) miles for
a limited time.
American`s low introductory fare is available for sale through Feb. 10,
2004. Travel must be completed by April 14, 2004. Some restrictions apply.

AAdvantage members can earn double miles each time they fly the new
nonstop service between Phoenix and New York JFK through April 30, 2004.
To qualify, members must register prior to travel by calling the
AAdvantage Dial- In(R) system at 1-800-882-8880, and then following the
prompts and entering promotion code NYPHX when asked. Or, they can

American now offers 18 daily nonstop flights from Phoenix Sky Harbor to
Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago O`Hare, St. Louis and New York JFK, with
connections beyond to hundreds of cities around the world.
