Northwest Airlines Adds Service at Memphis

Northwest Airlines today announced it will begin non-stop service to new
destinations from its hub at Memphis, Tenn., including daily international
service to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, as well as flights to Chicago-Midway,
Washington-Dulles and Dayton, Ohio. Northwest also will resume service
between Memphis and Cleveland.

With these new flights, Northwest and its Northwest Airlink partners will
offer non-stop flights to 88 destinations from Memphis, bringing the
number of daily departures to 213 from 198.

“These additional flights reflect our continuing commitment to the Memphis
market, and they will provide business and leisure travelers with more
non- stop choices to leading destinations,” said Tom Bach, vice president
of market planning and Airlink. “We are particularly pleased to be adding
the fifth international destination from Memphis. Toronto is Canada`s
largest city, its financial center and is also a leading tourist
destination.”
Northwest currently provides international service from Memphis to
Amsterdam; Cancun, Mexico; Montego Bay, Jamaica; and Saturday-only summer
service to Vancouver, Canada. “We are excited to have additional
international service at Memphis International Airport,” said Arnold Perl,
chairman of the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority Board of
Commissioners. “The new non-stop flight to Toronto will provide Memphis
with a direct and convenient link to the largest city in Canada, the
number one trading partner with our community. The additional cities
announced today further reflect the value of being a hub city whereby
Memphis residents can enjoy non-stop service to more than 80 destinations.”

The new service complements Northwest`s existing service between Toronto,
Chicago-Midway, Washington-Dulles, Cleveland and Dayton and its hubs at
Detroit and Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Two daily Memphis-Toronto flights begin April 26. Service to Chicago`s
Midway Airport begins May 24 with three daily flights. Service to
Washington`s Dulles International Airport begins April 12 with two daily
flights. One daily flight to Dayton begins Feb. 12 with a second to be
added April 12.

Flights between Memphis and Cleveland, suspended in October 2002, will
resume with one daily flight on Feb. 12 and a second on March 22.
Northwest also recently announced new service between Memphis and McAllen,
Texas, which begins March 22.

The new service will be operated with Northwest Airlink affiliate Pinnacle
Airlines Corp.`s 44-50-passenger Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ). The CRJ
features a spacious cabin with comfortable two-by-two leather seating and
other cabin amenities similar to larger jets, such as overhead bins, a
galley, lavatory, and an efficient climate control system to ensure
passenger comfort.
