America West Additional Vegas Service

America West Airlines , the nation`s second largest low-fare airline,
announced today that it will initiate new service between its Las Vegas
hub and Burbank, Calif., on April 23, 2004. In addition, America West will
add new flights between Las Vegas and three existing markets including
Boston and San Francisco which also will begin on April 23, 2004, and
Phoenix, which will begin on April 4, 2004. With these new flights,
America West will offer 111 daily departures to 48 destinations.

“As Las Vegas` hometown airline, America West offers nonstop service to
more destinations than any other airline. We`re pleased to be adding even
more service in response to growing customer demand,” said Dion Flannery,
vice president, scheduling, route planning and Internet distribution. “Now
Burbank customers can fly nonstop to Las Vegas, one of the most popular
destinations in the world, and take advantage of America West`s low fares
and full range of services not found on most low-cost carriers, such as
first-class seating, advance seat assignments and our award-winning
frequent flyer program, FlightFund.”

America West will operate the roundtrip flight between Las Vegas and
Burbank with the 124-seat Airbus A319 configured with 12 first class seats
and 112 coach seats.
Beginning March 1, 2004 America West will provide daily nonstop service
between Las Vegas and following new cities: Austin, Texas; Cleveland;
Edmonton, Canada; El Paso, Texas; San Antonio; and Vancouver, Canada.
These flights, along with today`s announced service, are part of America
West`s 2004 growth plan.
