Ryanair has launched a new service for customers enabling them to book hostel beds online at Ryanair.com . The service, powered by Irish company, Hostelworld.com , offers Ryanair passengers online reservations at a choice of over 3,000 hostels throughout Europe.
Announcing the new service, Ryanair.com’s Commercial Director, Conal Henry said:
“Ryanair.com is already Europe’s largest travel website, and 96% of Ryanair bookings are made on-line at www.ryanair.com. This year Ryanair will carry almost 24 Million passengers, and now with our partnership with Hostelworld.com, we can offer more low cost accommodation choices for consumers. Booking with Hostelworld couldn’t be easier - it’s simply one click away at www.ryanair.com”.
Hostelworld.com CEO Ray Nolan believes that the service will be a perfect fit for Ryanair customers:
“We believe this to be a tremendous opportunity to attract budget travelers who may have not considered hostel options up to now. It will be possible to book a short break with flights and accommodation in many European destinations from as little as €50 all in”.
Hostels offer a fun alternative to hotel accommodation, with many European hostels having their own in-house bars and DJ’s. Today’s hostels also offer many of the same comforts as hotels usually having en-suite twin and double rooms in addition to dorms.
Popular hostel destinations in Europe include London and Dublin with dorm beds selling from €10 per night, Paris, Brussels and Barcelona from €15 and Stockholm from just €18.
