Northwest Restarts Rome Service

Northwest Airlines announces today the restart of daily nonstop seasonal
service between Detroit and Rome.
The Detroit-Rome service will be offered between May 13, 2004 and Oct. 29,
2004. The Rome-Detroit flight will operate between May 14, 2004 and Oct.
30, 2004.
The Detroit-Rome flights will be operated with Northwest`s new Airbus
A330-300 aircraft, which seats 298 passengers and features the new
“lie-flat” World Business Class seat along with personal in-flight
entertainment in both the World Business Class and coach cabins.

“We are pleased to again offer this seasonal service between Detroit and
Rome,” said Glenn Woythaler, Northwest Airlines vice president-Atlantic
region. “This service to Rome adds to existing nonstop service to other
European cities that include Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London and Paris.”

Customers who purchased tickets for Rome service before December 8, for
travel May 13, 2004, and beyond on connecting itineraries will be able to
adjust their schedules either one day forward or one day later and change
to the nonstop service without paying an administrative change fee. These
changes are allowed if customers meet fare requirements and make all
changes by Jan. 31, 2004.
