PRNewswire-FirstCall CHICAGO Nov. 20 :

United Airlines (BULLETIN BOARD: UALAQ) today announced that it has been
named the airline with the `Best Frequent Flier Program` in the annual
reader`s poll conducted by Business Traveler magazine. This is the eighth
straight year the United Mileage Plus program has been named by Business
Traveler magazine as the best frequent flier program.

“We are delighted that the readers of Business Traveler magazine, who are
among the most discerning and well traveled executives, have selected
United Mileage Plus `Best Frequent Flyer Program` for the eighth
consecutive year,” said Martin C. White, Senior Vice President, Marketing
for United Airlines. “We`ve rewarded our 2003 true flyers and Million
Milers with additional miles and upgrades for their continued loyalty.
These 2004 program enhancements underscore our commitment to continually
improve the program for our 42 million enrolled members.”

“That United has won eight years in a row is a testament to their
unwavering commitment to rewarding Mileage Plus members for their
loyalty,” said Business Traveler Editor in Chief Eva Leonard.

An independent research firm has conducted the annual survey of Business
Traveler readers for the past fifteen years. However, the question
regarding the best frequent flyer program has only been asked since 1996,
and Mileage Plus has won this distinction every year it has been awarded.
