Northwest Announces New Seasonal Service

Northwest Airlines announced today new daily seasonal nonstop service
between Minneapolis/St. Paul and Sarasota/Bradenton, Fla., Minneapolis/St.
Paul and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and Detroit and Grand Cayman, B.W.I.
Service on the new routes will begin Feb. 12, 2004, and end April 3.

In addition, Northwest will offer an additional seasonal flight between
Minneapolis/St. Paul and Aspen, Colo., Minneapolis/St. Paul and Las Vegas,
and Minneapolis/St. Paul and Orlando, Fla., all of which will run between
Feb. 12 and April 3.

winter vacation destinations and our hubs at Minneapolis/St. Paul and

“Northwest has been a key provider of service to ski and resort locations

convenient service offerings to our customers in these important markets
in time for the peak winter travel season.”

—  The most self-service check-in options:  Northwest`s self-service
check-in program is the most developed in the airline industry,
offering customers the option of checking-in, obtaining a boarding
pass, and performing many other functions over the Internet at
nwa.com or through one of the airline`s 755 airport self-service
check-in kiosks in 188 airports.  Customers can use nwa.com to
obtain their boarding pass or visit an airport self-service check-in
kiosk (91 in Detroit, 89 in Minneapolis/St. Paul, 2 at Las Vegas,
and 6 at Orlando).

Customers currently holding tickets for travel Feb. 12 and beyond on
connecting itineraries between Minneapolis/St. Paul and
Sarasota/Bradenton; between Minneapolis/St. Paul and Puerto Vallarta; or
between Detroit and Grand Cayman will be able to adjust their current
itineraries either one day forward or one day later to change to
Northwest`s new nonstop service without paying an administrative change
fee. These changes are allowed if customers meet their fare`s requirements
and make all changes by Nov. 17.
