Virgins New Head of Cabin Services

Virgin Atlantic Airways today announced the appointment of Linda Moir as Head of Cabin Services.  Linda will be reporting to Matthew Lee, Director of Flight Operations and will oversee the management of Virgin Atlantic’s 3000 cabin crew and supervise the introduction of a new onboard management programme.  Linda joins Virgin Atlantic on 10 November 2003.
On her new position Linda Moir commented:


“I have always been an admirer of the service that Virgin Atlantic offers and am delighted to be working with the team here. It is a very exciting time to be joining the business with the recent launch of Upper Class Suite. 
“Throughout my career in aviation I have seen how great service can only be achieved through great staff.  The role the cabin crew play is crucial in maintaining Virgin Atlantic`s market leadership and I look forward to working with the crew and the team on the ground to build upon this.”
Matthew Lee, Director of Flight Operations, commented on Linda’s appointment:


“We are delighted to welcome Linda to Virgin Atlantic as Head of Cabin Services.  Linda brings with her a wonderful mix of highly relevant experience from previous roles in the aviation industry.”


Linda received an HND Business Studies followed by an MA in Manpower Studies and Industrial Relations and is a graduate of the IPD.  Since then she has undertaken a number of roles at British Airways including Head of Passenger Services, Head of HR Consulting and Cabin Services and Head of Employee Programmes.  Most recently Linda worked for National Air Traffic Services (NATS) following PPP as HR Director where she delivered a two year pay settlement with working practice improvements bringing a period of industrial relations stability.  During that time Linda also introduced a company wide Employee Survey encouraging two way communication.
