US Airways Begins Charlotte-Mexico City Service

US Airways begins nonstop service this weekend between its Charlotte, N.C.
hub and the Mexican capital, Mexico City.
The new daily service will operate using 120-seat Airbus A319 aircraft.
Flights will depart Charlotte at 10:20 a.m., and will arrive in Mexico
City at 1:25 p.m. Return flights will depart Mexico City at 2:25 p.m., and
will arrive in Charlotte at 6:52 p.m.
“Mexico City is a great addition to our Caribbean and Latin American
network, as Mexico City is a key business center in Latin America,” said
Douglas D. Leo, US Airways vice president-international. “With convenient
connections to 75 destinations over our Charlotte hub, business and
leisure customers throughout our system can benefit from this new daily
service.”
Mexico City is US Airways` 15th destination in the Caribbean and Latin
America served nonstop from Charlotte, following the addition of three new
destinations in the last year. Service to Providenciales (Turks and Caicos
Islands) and Belize began in November 2002, and service to Punta Cana,
Dominican Republic, began in December 2002. Charlotte-San Jose, Costa
Rica, begins Nov. 8, 2003, and service between Charlotte and La Romana in
the Dominican Republic begins Dec. 13, 2003.
