United Extends System-Wide Fare Sale

United Airlines (BULLETIN BOARD: UALAQ) today announced an extension of
its recently announced system-wide fare sale for domestic travel to or
from San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose airports and on international
travel from the Bay Area. Exceptional savings are now available for
tickets purchased through Friday, October 24, 2003, for select fall and
winter travel dates. In addition, customers who purchase their tickets on
United.com will earn an additional 1,000 Mileage Plus(TM) miles.

“With over 170 daily United and United Express flights from Oakland, San
Jose and San Francisco to destinations across the U.S. and around the
globe, this extended sale is an excellent opportunity for United customers
traveling to or from the Bay Area to plan that trip they have been
thinking about,” said Rick Wysong, vice president - revenue management.
“These great fares won`t last long, so customers need to take advantage of
them by October 24.”

Tickets for U.S., Canada, and Caribbean destinations must be purchased at
least 14 days in advance and within 24 hours of making reservations.
Tickets for international destinations must be purchased at least 7 days
in advance and ticketed within 72 hours of making reservations, except
where noted below. Qualifying travel and blackout dates vary by
