United Airlines Launches Fare Sale

United Airlines (BULLETIN BOARD: UALAQ) today announced a special
system-wide fare sale on all tickets purchased from Friday, October 17
through Monday, October 20, 2003, for fall and winter travel. Customers
who purchase qualifying tickets during this time period will realize
substantial savings to all domestic and international destinations served
by United and United Express. In addition, customers who purchase their
tickets on United.com will earn an additional 1,000 Mileage Plus(TM) miles.

“With every United and United Express destination across the globe now on
sale, this weekend is the perfect time for customers to book a trip,” said
Rick Wysong, vice president - revenue management. “It`s easy and
convenient to book our special fares on United.com, but I encourage
everyone to act quickly because these special prices only last through
Monday.”

Tickets for U.S., Canadian and Caribbean destinations are valid for travel
through January 31, 2004, and must be purchased at least 14 days in
advance and within 24 hours of making reservations. Tickets for
international destinations must be purchased at least 7 days in advance
and ticketed within 72 hours of making reservations, except where noted
below. Qualifying travel and blackout dates vary by destination. Some
