Delta Unveils First Putting Green

Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL), the official airline of the PGA TOUR, today announced it will unveil its first practice putting green on Monday, Oct. 6, in the Crown Room Club on Concourse T at Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport. ÊAs part of the unveiling, Crown Room Club members and eligible visitors traveling on this day are encouraged to visit the club to meet PGA TOUR member Matt Kuchar, winner of the 2002 Honda Classic, who will make an appearance, sign autographs and provide golf tips from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ÊDelta will surprise 40 customers arriving on inbound flights between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. and award them one-day Crown Room Club passes to meet Kuchar.

The Atlanta Concourse T putting green is the first of several to be installed over the next few months in Crown Room Clubs in cities including Washington, D.C., Salt Lake City, Cincinnati, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Phoenix and New York City’s JFK BusinessElite Lounge. ÊPutters and balls will be available and all greens will be for members’ use.

“One of our club priorities is to provide members a place to relax in the midst of the hustle and bustle of travel,” said Betty Hollan, general manager of Customer Lounge Programs for Delta. “The putting greens will provide an excellent way for customers to unwind while they improve their golf game.”

The putting greens are one component of several PGA TOUR promotions that began in select Crown Room Clubs in August. ÊOnce complete, the program which supports Delta’s strong affiliation with golf will include PGA TOUR video highlights on Crown Room Club computers, PGA TOUR Partners Magazine and member subscription discounts to TOURCast, the PGA TOUR’s revolutionary Internet application that allows fans to follow tournament action through shot-by-shot graphics and real-time statistics.
