JetBlue Airways Corporation (NASDAQ: JBLU) reported its load factor for August 2003 at 91.6 percent, an increase of 1.1 points from August 2002. Traffic in August increased 69.6 percent from August 2002, on a capacity increase of 67.6 percent.
August operations were adversely impacted by the Northeast power blackout, which resulted in numerous flight delays and 22 flight cancellations. JetBlue`s completion factor was 99.6 percent and on-time (1) performance was 78.3 percent.
