JetBlue Reports Record Load Factor

JetBlue Airways Corporation (NASDAQ: JBLU) reported its load factor for August 2003 at 91.6 percent, an increase of 1.1 points from August 2002. Traffic in August increased 69.6 percent from August 2002, on a capacity increase of 67.6 percent.
August operations were adversely impacted by the Northeast power blackout, which resulted in numerous flight delays and 22 flight cancellations. JetBlue`s completion factor was 99.6 percent and on-time (1) performance was 78.3 percent.
etBlue is a low-fare, low-cost passenger airline, which provides high-quality customer service. JetBlue operates a fleet of 46 new Airbus A320 aircraft and is scheduled to place into service another seven A320s by the end of 2003. The airline recently placed an order for 100 EMBRAER 190 aircraft with options for an additional 100. The first EMBRAER 190 is scheduled to be delivered in mid 2005.
