Ryanair in the Fast Lane

Ryanair, Europe’s No.1 low fares airline is the web’s most popular airline according to global internet search giant Google. The airline, which recently signed a contract with Cable & Wireless to upgrade its internet systems to accommodate demand from its growing passenger base, gets 95% of its bookings from online users.

The Google survey for July 2003, placed Ryanair No.1 as the most searched for airline brand across the worldwide web, putting it ahead of the Lamborghini brand and second only to Ferrari.

Ryanair.com’s communications manager, John Rowley, said:

“Easyjet is NOT the web’s favourite airline and that’s official. Google is widely regarded as the best and most used internet search engine worldwide, and Ryanair RANKED No.1 as the most searched for airline world wide.”

“Easyjet are misleading the public. They can`t match Ryanair’s low fares, punctuality, European route network, customer service or profitability and they can’t match Ryanair’s popularity on the internet either.

“It`s time Easyjet stopped deceiving the public and changed their slogan and re-brand their fleet - they are the “web’s also ran airline”.
