Continental New Nonstop Flights

HOUSTON, Aug. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/—Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) today announced it will begin nonstop service Dec. 17 from its New York hub at Newark Liberty International to Freeport in the Bahamas, pending government approval.
One daily flight will depart Liberty International at 9:20 a.m., arriving in Freeport at 12:31 p.m. Return service from Freeport will depart at 1:30 p.m., arriving at Liberty International at 4:23 p.m. The route will be served by Continental Express` 50 seat Embraer ERJ-145, which offers amenities such as jet-bridge loading, a fully equipped galley, a spacious lavatory and a comfortable interior with only window and aisle seating. Flights will be timed for convenient connections at Liberty to and from dozens of destinations throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe.
