Caribbean Star Offers Special Fares

Gros Islet Athletic will host its Second Annual Road Race to be held in St Lucia. A number of leading Caribbean runners are expected to participate in two races on September 7th, 2003.
Last year`s winner of the Cara 10K for men, Curtis Cox, will be returning to St Lucia to defend his title. Cox is expected to be challenged by some of the top runners from the Eastern Caribbean who did not compete last year.
The Courts Women on the Move 5K race is scheduled to take place on 2nd November and the 2002 winner, Nessa Paul of St Lucia is confident that she will be able to retain the title. The Women`s 5K is expected to be much larger than last year and it will be interesting to see how Paul performs.
Caribbean Star Airlines is proud to support the Gros Islet Athletic Races and will be offering special fares to participants of US$60.00 from Trinidad and Tobago, Antigua, Dominica, and Grenada. Participants from St Maarten and Guyana can take advantag e of the US$120 return fare. Persons wishing to fly to St Lucia to take part in the event are required to present a letter from their Club, and picture I.D. when purchasing their ticket.

Scotland added that as a good corporate citizen the airline is focused on social and cultural integration, which can only be derived from inter-regional travel.
The Gros Islet Athletic is expected to draw runners from several of the Eastern Caribbean islands as the St Lucia races are expected to prepare participants for the Barbados International Road Race which is scheduled to take place in early December.
