Delta Non-Stop Services to Steamboat

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO—The Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation and Delta Air Lines have teamed up for nonstop daily service from Salt Lake City, UT and nonstop Saturday service from Atlanta, GA into Steamboat’s Yampa Valley Regional Airport (airport code: HDN) for the 2003/04 season.
“The Delta flights enable guests to take advantage of the most conveniently accessed ski resort community in the Rocky Mountains from anywhere in the country including significantly increased options for skiers/riders from the West Coast, ” said Andy Wirth, vice president of sales & marketing for the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. “This important service supports Steamboat’s West Coast strategies via the Salt Lake City 737 and brings nonstop jet service to one of the nations all-time great ski markets - Atlanta.”
Delta Air Lines will operate a daily 128-seat Boeing 737-300 aircraft from Salt Lake City into the Yampa Valley Regional Airport. Nonstop air service begins December 18, 2003 and runs through April 4, 2004. The inbound flight (DL 1516) departs SLC at 11:20am, arriving in Steamboat/Hayden at 12:25pm. Outbound service (DL 1515) departs Steamboat/Hayden at 1:15pm, arriving back in SLC at 2:20pm. At Delta’s Salt Lake City hub, customers may choose from over 50 daily Delta and Delta Connection flights to destinations nationwide.
In addition to the daily service, Delta will offer a Saturday flight from Atlanta utilizing a 183-seat Boeing 757 aircraft on the three to three and half hour flight. The Delta Atlanta service begins December 20, 2003 and runs through April 3, 2004. The inbound flight (DL 1591) departs ATL at 10:00am, arriving in Steamboat/Hayden at 11:40am. Outbound service (DL 1596) departs Steamboat/Hayden at 12:40pm, arriving back in ATL at 5:50pm. At Delta’s Atlanta hub, customers may choose from 900 daily Delta and Delta Connection flights to 180 domestic and international destinations.

Steamboat/Hayden (HDN) Airport is just 22 miles/35kms from the ski area. Despite the abundance of snow, over 30 feet annually in Steamboat, the airport has very few diversions caused by weather.
