ATA Resumes Seasonal Caribbean Service

INDIANAPOLIS—(BUSINESS WIRE)—July 24, 2003—ATA (ATA Airlines, Inc.) (Nasdaq:ATAH) is heating up the winter months with new nonstop international service from Chicago-Midway Airport to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, Mexico. Beginning Dec. 20, 2003, ATA will offer one weekly nonstop flight on Saturdays to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo. Customers can now book reservations.
“There has been increased demand for Caribbean and Mexican markets in Chicago,” said John Happ, ATA Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales. “Extending our international portfolio as well as resuming our popular seasonal service is what our customers want.”
The low-cost carrier is also resuming seasonal service from Chicago-Midway to sizzling tropical destinations, including Grand Cayman, Montego Bay and Puerto Vallarta. These nonstop flights will be offered until the end of April 2004.


Additionally, ATA is expanding its service from Chicago-Midway to Guadalajara, Mexico from six days a week to seven by offering nonstop roundtrip service on Wednesdays. The carrier is also expanding its nonstop service from Chicago-Midway to San Juan from five days a week to seven. Expanded service to both destinations begins Nov. 20, 2003. Customers can now book reservations.
Popular year-round international destinations from Chicago-Midway include Aruba and Cancun. ATA offers one weekly nonstop flight to Aruba on Saturdays and a nonstop flight to Cancun daily, except Tuesdays.
