Austrian Resumes its Flights to Beijing

As of August 1st, 2003 the Austrian Airlines Group will resume its scheduled flights from Vienna to Beijing, after the World Health Organisation (WHO) lifted its travel warning for the Chinese capital. A longhaul Airbus A330/A340 will depart from Vienna every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. With Beijing, the route network of the Austrian Airlines Group with 121 destinations, in 63 countries on all 5 continents is complete again. Flights to Beijing can be booked as of now online at www.aua.com, www.austrianairlines.com, around the clock on +43 (0)5 1789 (all calls made from Austrian are charged at local rates), in all Austrian Airlines Group offices or at a travel agency of your choice.

Due to the downward trend in demand for the Vienna - Beijing - Vienna route, the Austrian Airlines Group had temporarily suspended service from the beginning of May 2003.
