CanJet Celebrates First Birthday

CanJet Airlines, eastern Canada’s low-fare leader, is pleased to announce that the airline will celebrate its first year of operations tomorrow, Friday, June 20th. She stated, “I am thrilled with the success the airline has experienced in its first year of operations. Customer response to our low fares and quality service has been exceptional while the strong support of our travel agency partners has been very positive.”


She said the airline has plenty of reasons to celebrate and they plan to do so tomorrow. “We will greet our customers at each airport with birthday cake and refreshments, we will give away free return trips on all our Friday flights, we will launch a week long SmartRewards bonus points promotion and we will be advertising attractive fares to celebrate this important milestone,” said Ms. Gossen.
CanJet Airlines launched scheduled service with three aircraft flying to three destinations - Halifax, Toronto and St. John’s - on June 20th., 2002. In its first year, CanJet has doubled its fleet size to six aircraft and has expanded its route network to include Deer Lake, Moncton, Ottawa and Montreal while offering seasonal service between Halifax and St. Petersburg, Florida. Ms. Gossen said, “I am personally proud of CanJet’s accomplishments during the past year and I am optimistic about the future. We have a wonderful team of airline professionals who have worked tirelessly during the past year and I am constantly impressed with their desire to not just succeed but to always deliver a quality experience to our customers.”
