Now is your last chance to fly supersonic across the Atlantic before British Airways retires Concorde at the end of October. Up to 12 Concorde tickets are to be won each month between July and September.
Anyone who flies British Airways Club World (business class) before August 31 can enter an online competition to win a pair of Concorde tickets from New York travelling outbound in Club World in September.
Jayne O’Brien, British Airways head of UK & Ireland marketing, said: “Seats on Concorde are selling fast, so this is a great opportunity to experience this marvellous and unique aircraft and celebrate the end of an era.”
The offer is open to all passengers flying Club World between June 16 and August 31 even if their ticket has restrictions or has already been booked.
To enter, customers have to go onto www.ba.com and answer a simple question and a tie breaker question. There are 34 tickets to be won in total.
Travel agents who book winners will also have a chance to experience Concorde. If their customer wins, they will win a day trip on Concorde flying on one her final flights within the UK.
In April British Airways announced the retirement of its Concorde fleet of seven aircraft with effect from the end of October 2003. The airline said that its decision had been made for commercial reasons with passenger revenue falling steadily against a backdrop of rising maintenance costs for the aircraft.
