See Fabulous Singapore With SIA

Singapore Airlines (SIA) today announced its largest global campaign ever - the SIA Fabulous Offer - with promotional rates that are up to half that of its market fares, to help restore travel confidence and stimulate traffic to Singapore.
Along with the special offer for travel into Singapore, the Airline also announced an extraordinary Early Bird Special, that gives a further 50 per cent off the promotional rates to Singapore. With this Early Bird Special, applicable only for the first 15,000 bookings worldwide, travellers effectively pay only 25 per cent of the market fares.

“It’s very important that SIA together with our key industry partners, provide a united push to revive travel to Singapore and the region, and enhance Singapore Changi Airport’s position as the favourite regional hub. The travel industry has been very hard hit in the last few months but it’s now time to put Singapore and the region back on the world travel map.” said Mr Huang Cheng Eng, Executive Vice-president, Marketing Regions, SIA.

Visitor numbers to Singapore has declined by up about 67 per cent in April as compared to a year ago. Similarly, the Airline reported that its April passenger load numbers fell by 50 percent as compared to the same period a year ago.

Working with the Singapore Hotel Association and the Association of Singapore Attractions, SIA’s “Fabulous Offer” basic package includes two night stays at over 50 of the island’s leading hotels (detailed list attached), a choice of admission to top attractions such as The Night Safari and Sentosa, complimentary airport transfers and the use of the SIA Hop-on bus, a SIA trolley service that brings visitors to the major sights in and around the city.

“The hotel industry is all geared up to welcome travellers. We are confident that the Singapore Airlines’ Fabulous Offer will give the industry a much needed boost in stimulating the travel industry and bring visitors back,” said Mr Pakir Singh, Chief Executive, Singapore Hotel Association.
“Our members have always been in partnership with Singapore Airlines. This promotion is another close collaboration between the attractions and SIA, and we are excited to be part of it. With this irresistible offer, I believe that we will soon see the return of travelers in big numbers,” said Mr Francis Phun, Chairman of the Association of Singapore Attractions.
SIA’s Fabulous Offer will be launched from 9 June 2003, the booking period will be between two and four weeks, and the travel period from 16 June to 31 August 2003.


For Singapore residents, the Airline kicked off SIA’s World Value Deals in late April with special fares for travel out of Singapore that are up to 50 per cent off market rates.
