Kenya Update from British Airways
The British government`s Department for Transport yesterday instructed (May 15 2003) that all UK registered airlines which fly to Kenya suspend flights with effect from 10pm British Summer Time due to heightened security concerns in the region.
British Airways has now suspended all its scheduled services to and from Nairobi until further notice.
The airline is asking its customers booked to travel to or from Nairobi to contact the airline on telephone 0845 77 999 77 if they are in the UK or if you are calling from Nairobi tel 320 774 00 and the airline will make alternative arrangements to ensure customers reach their final destination.
The current arrangements for customers booked to fly to or from Nairobi is to fly them via an alternative BA destination in Africa to their final destination.
British Airways has put in place the following commercial policy for travel to and from Nairobi:

All passengers travelling to/from Nairobi up to and including May 31, 2003 can:
Re-book onto an alternative date, in the same booking class. Re-booked travel must commence by September 30, 2003.
Re-route to a new destination on British Airways flights with any additional fare to be paid by the customer.
Get a refund in full to the original form of payment.
