US Airways Offers Go Fares

ARLINGTON, Va., May 14,Ê 2003—US Airways is celebrating summer with special “GoFares” to and from Charlotte, N.C., Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C. These Go Fares start as low as $139 roundtrip in select nonstop markets in the East and Midwest for travel completed by midnight, July 29, 2003.

To qualify for this special offer, tickets must be purchased at least 14 days before departure and no later than May 16, 2003. One Saturday night stay is required and a maximum five-day stay is allowed. Travel must be nonstop, originating Thursday through Saturday with a return Sunday through Tuesday. Fares are available at usairways.com, from US Airways Reservations, and Sabre and Apollo travel agencies.

“GoFares are a quick, affordable and hassle-free way for our customers to visit family or friends, take a shopping excursion or treat themselves to a relaxing long weekend getaway,” said Stephen M. Usery, US Airways vice president of marketing and revenue management. “I would suggest that customers act quickly on this offer because seats are limited and our previous GoFare sales have been extremely popular.”
Fares listed require roundtrip nonstop travel in Coach Class. Depending on travel needs, flights may be available at the same fares with service on regional aircraft operated by US Airways Express carriers Allegheny, Air Midwest, Chautauqua, Colgan, Mesa, Midway, Piedmont, PSA, Shuttle America or Trans States. Service between Norfolk and Reagan Washington National airport is provided by US Airways Express carrier Piedmont Airlines.

Tickets become nonrefundable 24 hours after making initial reservation, and under certain conditionsmay be changed prior to the departure of each flight segment for a minimum $100 fee. If changes are not made prior to midnight of the departure date of each flight, the entire remaining ticket will have no further value.

These sale fares do not include up to $9 airport passenger facility charges where applicable and do not include the September 11 Security Fee of up to $5 per itinerary. Fares do not include a federal excise tax of $3, which will be added on each flight segment of each itinerary. A flight segment is defined as a takeoff and a landing. Travel is not permitted July 6-7, 2003. Seats are limited and may not be available during other very busy travel times. Fares for Washington, D.C. are valid to and from Reagan Washington National airport only.
