Holidaymakers can now benefit from better than ever special offers from
British Airways Holidays, with the launches this month of the new Florida and Tropical Beaches 2004 brochures.
These are the first programmes to be launched by British Airways Holidays since its integration with British Airways, when accoladia, the 50/50 joint venture with Thomas Cook dissolved in November last year.
Tiffany Hall, British Airways head of UK & Ireland sales and marketing, said: “We are totally committed to growing our presence in the holiday market to support our leisure routes. We fly 5.5m leisure passengers a year from the UK and believe that we can turn more of these flights into holidays, by providing a range of holiday options in addition to flights for our customers.
“Our research shows that people are increasingly wanting to buy their hotel,
car hire and other arrangements from their airline and we believe that by integrating British Airways Holidays into the airline and by selling direct, we will be able to offer customers better deals on quality holidays.”
There is an exclusive early booking offer on both brochures giving a free Euro Traveller flight ticket to everyone who books a week’s holiday before July 18 2003. Everyone on the booking can choose from any British Airways’ mainline European destination for travel up until March 2005.
This offer can be combined with a further 63 early booking offers across the two brochures. For example, every child who is booked on a return flight to Tampa will receive two hundred Disney Dollars (equivalent of $200) that can be spent anywhere in the Walt Disney Resort. In the Caribbean there is a £300 discount on a week’s holiday at any Rex Resort booked before 15 December 2003.
The new Florida brochure is on sale now with prices from £299 for a Miami
fly-drive. In response to customer demand the programme is now completely tailor-made, so that customers can mix and match their flight, car hire and hotel or villa accommodation.
The Tropical Beaches brochure is available from the end of the month and includes holidays to the Caribbean, Mauritius, Seychelles and Dubai. Prices start from £595 for five nights at the 5 star Le Meridien Dubai and £605 for a week at the Silver Sands Resort in Barbados.
All the British Airways Holidays’ programmes offer a lowest price guarantee and free domestic connecting flights from 13 regional airports.
Florida and Tropical Beaches are the first of five brochures to be launched by British Airways Holidays between now and the end of October 2003. In addition there will be eight more programmes launched later in the year, operated in association with Supertravel (ski and golf); Abercrombie and Kent (Africa, Egypt and Latin America); Greaves (India) and Qantas Holidays (Far East and Australia/New Zealand). We will also be expanding our range of hotel and car hire options on ba.com.
Next year will see the introduction of British Airways’ fully flat bed in Club World and the premium economy cabin, World Traveller Plus on the Caribbean routes. The first to be introduced will be Barbados and Antigua in January. There are savings of up to £200 for a return upgrade to Club World and £100 for a return upgrade to World Traveller Plus featured in the brochure.
For the first time, customers will be able to browse the brochure online at ba.com and add hotels and car hire to flight purchases more easily. For a copy of the brochure and bookings call 0870 2434224 or visit your local British Airways Travel Shop.
