Austrian Temporarily Halts Beijing

30th Apr 2003

Due to the downward trend in demand for the Vienna-Beijing-Vienna route in light of recent events, the Austrian Airlines Group will temporarily cease operating a service to the Chinese capital from the beginning of May 2003 onwards. In the short term, scheduled services from and to Beijing will be halted for the months of May and June 2003. It is planned to re-start three direct weekly services to Beijing in July 2003. A final decision on the relaunch of the route will be taken in the first two weeks of June.
