American Announces AA-Cargo

FORT WORTH, Texas - The American Airlines Cargo division announced today the release of its new AACargo.com Web site, designed to put customers in control of their shipment information. The new AACargo.com allows customers full visibility of their cargo shipping information in American’s shipment tracking systems and brings significant enhancements to customer and operational productivity. Registered users will have secure access to their shipment information with full confidentiality.

The new functionality also delivers detailed shipment tracking and proactive status notification to a customer’s preferred electronic device. Enhancements to the site are based upon design input from customers and employees.

“We are committed to giving all customers full visibility and access to their information,” said Dave Brooks, president - American Airlines Cargo.
“AACargo.com sends real-time detail on shipment status which can improve planning and productivity for everyone.”
Using the My CAArgo portal, customers can customize their tracking reports, determine shipment status for notification, and designate that the notification be sent to their computer, cell phone, pager or personal digital assistant (PDA). This allows customers to be informed of vital shipment status information whether in or out of the office.

“The new site is the next step in expanding American’s global electronic distribution options for customers, and complements our participation in GF-X and other electronic business channels,” said Brooks. “We will continue to enhance AACargo.com based upon our customers’ preferences. “

Other enhanced usability features include widebody aircraft schedules, aircraft and container compatibility, complete facility information, worldwide weather and customer service via online chat.
