QantasLink Operates Additional Services

QantasLink today announced an interim schedule to provide additional capacity to Gladstone and Rockhampton from 30 March.
QantasLink Queensland General Manager Elsa d`Alessio said the services would be operated by Dash-8 aircraft and would provide an additional 17 services each week between Brisbane and Gladstone and 19 services between Brisbane and Rockhampton.

“The new schedule will provide 88 services each week between Brisbane and Gladstone using a combination of Dash-8 100 and Dash-8 300 aircraft. Services between Brisbane and Rockhampton will increase to 68 per week using a combination of Dash-8 100, Dash-8 300 and Boeing 717 aircraft,” she added.

Ms D`Alessio said more seats were now available as result of an additional aircraft based in Brisbane.

“We will also operate an additional five services between Mackay and Townsville from Monday to Friday. Selected morning and afternoon flights will be upgraded to the larger Dash-8 50 seater aircraft between Brisbane and Newcastle. We expect these services will appeal particularly to business travellers.”
