BA Suspends Kuwait and Tel Aviv

British Airways will suspend its daily service between London Heathrow and Kuwait until further notice with effect from tomorrow (Wednesday, 19th March).
The decision was taken in light of Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) travel advice, advising against travel to Kuwait and advising British nationals to leave Kuwait urgently.

Today`s London Heathrow to Kuwait flight, BA157, will depart at midday and will arrive at Kuwait at 2250 local time. The return flight BA1156 will depart Kuwait at 0025 local time on Wednesday and arrives at London Heathrow at 0640 local time.

Also in light of FCO advice from Thursday 20th March the airline will suspend its twice daily service from London Heathrow to Tel Aviv until further notice.
Today`s twice daily London Heathrow to Tel Aviv service (18th March) will operate as normal.

Tomorrow (Wednesday 19th March) the airline will operate only one of the two daily services from London Heathrow to Tel Aviv. The safety and security of our operation is always our absolute priority and we would not consider operating any flight unless we were satisfied totally that it was safe to do so”.

British Airways` flights to Bahrain, Doha, Jeddah, Dubai and Riyadh will continue to operate via Larnaca in Cyprus. Flights to Muscat will remain suspended temporarily.
Flights will re-commence from London via Larnaca to Abu Dhabi with effect from tomorrow,(Wednesday 19th March).
