Ryanair, Europe’s No.1 low fares airline, pledged to consumers throughout Europe to continue to offer the lowest fares and NO SURCHARGES, as the high fares airlines - Lufthansa and BA have announced fare increases to penalise passengers for incompetence in not hedging their fuel requirements.

Ryanair’s Head of Communications, Paul Fitzsimmons said:

“High Fares airlines, BA and Lufthansa have announced fare increases to passengers to cover their own incompetent management. As usual, it’s the airline customers that will be paying HIGHER FARES because the airlines cannot manage their fuel prices. Why should customers pay higher prices just because BA and Lufthansa couldn’t be bothered to hedge forward their fuel requirement?

Ryanair is Europe’s No.1 low fares airline, and consumers can be rest assured that Ryanair will continue to offer the lowest fares and no fuel surcharges, because, unlike the High Fares Airlines, Ryanair is the airline that drives down costs, and is committed to lowering fares even further.

It’s a scandal that consumers are being forced to pay even higher prices because of Lufthansa and BA’s incompetence in not hedging their fuel requirements.”
