New bmi Credit Cards Help Flyers Go Even Further

bmi, the UK`s second largest full service scheduled airline, is launching an exciting new credit card programme that rewards holders with valuable `destinations points` for all their retail transactions.

Two card options are available, the bmi MasterCard and bmi Classic MasterCard. Both offer generous rewards, a competitive rate of interest and some great features and benefits. Holders automatically become a blue card member of bmi`s diamond club with access to all its privileges, and can earn points twice by purchasing future flights online with their bmi credit card.

`destinations points` can be redeemed for flights with bmi and any of its 14 partner airlines, as well as hotel accommodation, car hire and other privileges. For existing diamond club members, there is a special reward of 150 destinations points on their successful application to either card, putting them well on their way to their first `free` flight.

The bmi credit cards are issued by MBNA Europe Bank Limited, part of MBNA Corporation which is the largest independent credit card lender in the world.Ê MasterCard is one of the most well known and widely accepted payment brands.Ê This partnership will bring unparalleled acceptance for cardholders at 29 million locations worldwide.

The two card options are:
á The bmi Classic MasterCard which offers one destinations point for every card transaction of £20 and one point for every £10 of transaction made through flybmi.com. This card has a low introductory rate of 1.9% p.a. for balance transfers for six months and 15.9% APR (variable) on card purchases.

á The bmi MasterCard which, for an annual fee of £60, offers an enhanced rewards programme with one destinations point for every card transaction of £15 and one point for every £7 of transaction made through flybmi.com. This card has an interest rate of 16.9% p.a. on card purchases, which is equivalent to 19.3% APR (variable) when you include the annual fee of £60 (based on a credit limit of £3,000).
