Air Canada Offers Copenhagen

TORONTO, Ontario, Feb. 24 /CNW Telbec/ - Air Canada today announced that
it will begin daily non-stop service to Copenhagen in time to meet peak summer
travel demand. Air Canada will offer seasonal non-stop service between Toronto
and the Danish capital beginning May 27, 2003 until October 24, 2003. To
promote the new non-stop service, Air Canada is offering a special
introductory fare until March 7 starting as low as $598.
“Air Canada`s seasonal non-stop service to Copenhagen features excellent
connections to points throughout Scandinavia, and complements our year-round
service via London and Frankfurt offered on a codeshare basis with our Star
Alliance partners,” said Ross MacCormack, Senior Vice President, International
and Alliances. “The re-introduction of this convenient service further
strengthens Air Canada`s presence in the European market during the high
demand summer travel season, June through October, and is consistent with our
strategy to profitably redeploy aircraft while capitalizing on market
opportunities.”
Air Canada`s non-stop flights to Copenhagen complement the carrier`s year-
round service to Scandinavia via London Heathrow offered in cooperation with
its Star Alliance partners, SAS and bmi british midland, and via Frankfurt in
cooperation with Lufthansa. Non-stop flights to Copenhagen have been timed to
offer customers convenient connections to and from cities throughout
Scandinavia such as Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki and Gothenburg.
Air Canada will operate its non-stop service using 212-seat Boeing 767-
300 aircraft featuring a choice of Air Canada`s award-winning Hospitality and
completely re-designed Executive First classes of service. Tickets are now
available for purchase online at www.aircanada.ca, through travel agents and
