Air Canada Expands Codeshare

MONTREAL, Feb. 11 /CNW Telbec/ - Air Canada continues to improve air
access to Europe with the introduction of new services to southern Italy and
additional flights to Venice. Air Canada now offers daily flights on a
codeshare basis via Rome to Lamezia Terme, Catania, Palermo and Venice in
cooperation with Italian carrier Air One, a Lufthansa partner airline. Flights
are scheduled to provide customers with convenient connections to Air Canada`s
daily non-stop flights to Rome. Members of Air Canada`s frequent flyer
program, Aeroplan, enjoy accumulation and redemption benefits on these new
services.
“The addition of Lamezia Terme, Catania and Palermo as new Air Canada
destinations further enhances our European network, while building on our
daily non-stop service to Rome, gateway to southern Italy,” said Ross
MacCormack, Senior Vice President, International and Alliances. “We are
pleased to enhance air access between Canada and Italy in cooperation with Air
One, a Lufthansa partner airline.”
In November 2002, Air Canada expanded service to Italy with the
introduction of daily flights to Venice and Bologna on a codeshare basis via
Frankfurt in cooperation with its Star Alliance partner, Lufthansa, as well as
flights between Munich and Venice five times per week in cooperation with
Lufthansa partner airline, Air Dolomiti.
