KAL Breaks Passenger Record

During the Lunar New Year holiday, Korean Air carried a record-breaking number of passengers. The results were especially significant at both Gimpo (Seoul) and Kimhae Int`l (Busan) airports.  On Jan. 31, 141 flights, including 42 charter flights, departed Gimpo airport carrying 30,514 passengers. This record exceeds the previous record of 30,109 passengers carried during the Korean Thanksgiving holiday (Sept. 20, 2002).  Kimhae Int`l Airport performed equally well, breaking the previous record of 14,921 passengers set on Sept. 22, 2002.  On Feb. 2, 2003, Kimhae Int`l Airport carried 15,118 passengers, exceeding the previous figure by almost 200.
