Delta Wins Maroc Maintenance Agreement

ATLANTA, Feb. 4, 2003 - Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) announced today that it has signed an agreement for Delta`s Technical Operations division to provide integrated maintenance support services for its codeshare partner Royal Air Maroc’s Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. The services will include engineering, line and component maintenance, inventory and administrative support.

During the seven-year agreement, Delta will perform maintenance on a total of two aircraft. Delta is also seeking to cooperate with Royal Air Maroc on other B767, B757 and B737 maintenance opportunities in Africa. Royal Air Maroc is one of the leading providers of maintenance, repair and overhaul services in Africa. 
“Delta and Royal Air Maroc have been partners for two years through a codeshare agreement, sharing in our commitment to operational excellence,” said Ray Valeika, senior vice president-Technical Operations. “With this new maintenance agreement we can continue to grow and strengthen our partnership.”

Delta began a partnership with Royal Air Maroc in June 2000 with a marketing alliance, which includes codesharing on flights between Casablanca and New York-Kennedy on Boeing 767-300 ER aircraft. In addition, Delta offers codeshare service with Royal Air Maroc via Casablanca to Agadir, Marrakech and Tangier, Morocco on Royal Air Maroc Boeing 737 aircraft.
