ATA Adds More New York/Chicago

INDIANAPOLIS—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Feb. 3, 2003—ATA (American Trans Air, Inc.)(Nasdaq:ATAH) today announced plans to add two additional daily flights to/from Chicago-Midway to New York-LaGuardia, as well as an additional daily flight to/from Indianapolis to New York-LaGuardia. These new services will begin May 1, 2003, allowing for even more schedule flexibility for both business and leisure travelers. Tickets for the flights may be purchased beginning today.

“Following September 11, there was a significant reduction in the number of flights to the New York tri-state area,” said Don Moonjian, ATA`s Vice President of Marketing. “The addition of these frequencies will provide customers with more schedule options that will benefit the business and leisure traveler.”

With the new frequencies to New York-LaGuardia, passengers traveling from Chicago will now have 11 nonstop flight choices each weekday for travel to the New York/Newark area. And, customers traveling from Indianapolis will have access to three nonstop flights to New York-LaGuardia, including a morning, mid-day and evening flight.

To provide more convenience for both Midwest and West Coast travelers, ATA is repositioning its existing nonstop service between Indianapolis and San Francisco with a more desirable mid-day flight time. This service will also begin May 1.

To commemorate its 30th Anniversary, ATA has launched its Anniversary Travel Awards promotion, offering loyal customers great travel awards when they fly frequently on ATA or ATA Connection (Chicago Express Airlines, Inc.) and book their travel online at ATA.Com. By purchasing and flying as few as three round-trips, a customer can earn a free domestic companion ticket, an award not offered by any other carrier.
