bmi Scoops Top Industry Award

bmi swept aside the competition to take one of the top honours in the Travel Weekly Golden Globe Awards last night.

The airline, the UK’s second largest full service scheduled carrier, was up against shortlisted nominees British Airways, flybe and Go, but won the vote of the travel trade who named it “Best Domestic Airline.”

Adrian Parkes, bmi sales director, said:

“We are delighted to receive this prestigious award. Our customers and the travel trade recognise that, despite the presence of low cost carriers, there is still a strong market for a full service airline offering extremely competitive fares. bmi is committed to consistently excelling in this area, recognised by the fact that we have now won this award 12 times.”
