Continental Announces Edmonton/Houston

Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) today announced that it will introduce new daily nonstop service from Edmonton to its Houston hub, effective May 2, 2003. The new service represents the only available nonstop service between the two major energy centers and provides extensive connections to destinations throughout the United States and Latin America.

Edmonton is the fourth Canadian city to gain nonstop service to Continental`s largest hub, Houston`s George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Service between Houston and Edmonton will be aboard the 104-seat Boeing 737-500.


“With more than 500 daily departures to 146 nonstop destinations from our Houston hub, it will be easy for Edmonton travelers to make quick connections to dozens of destinations,” said Continental`s Senior Vice President of Scheduling Glen Hauenstein.


The daily, nonstop flight will depart Edmonton International Airport at 7:15 a.m. and arrive at Houston Intercontinental at 12:35 p.m. The return flight departs Houston at 5:20 p.m., arriving in Edmonton at 8:55 p.m.
