American Airlines is reportedly planning to lay off 415 employees in mid-January 2003.

According to a notice given to the Texas Workforce Commission in early December, the American Airline layoffs will cover 218 fleet-service clerks and 197 airport agents and representatives at Dallas-Forth Worth International Airport.

The layoffs are scheduled to take effect on 18 January 2003.
