Delta Introduce Nonstop Service

ATLANTA, Dec. 17, 2002—Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) will introduce nonstop service between Atlanta and Vancouver, British Columbia next summer, giving customers in the Southeast their only daily nonstop to the largest city in Western Canada.

Delta will offer one daily flight on the 183-seat Boeing 757 aircraft during the summer season from May 17 through Sept. 30, 2003.

“Our new service provides business customers the convenience of nonstop service from Atlanta and new single-connection service from cities throughout the East, as well as international destinations, to Vancouver, a thriving economic center in Western Canada with a population of more than two million people. The flight is also ideally timed for Delta customers departing or arriving on Alaska cruises from Vancouver,” said Subodh Karnik, Delta’s senior vice president - Network and Revenue Management.

Delta and the Delta Connection carriers operate 900 flights a day with nonstop service to 180 destinations at Atlanta’s Hartsfield International Airport, the largest single-airline hub operation in the world.

The new Atlanta flight complements Delta Connection’s existing nonstop service between Vancouver and Delta’s Salt Lake City hub.
