ATA Launches New Service

ATA (American Trans Air, Inc.,)(Nasdaq:ATAH) will add three new destinations and more frequencies to its flight schedule from San Francisco. The carrier today announced plans to offer nonstop service from San Francisco to Cancun, Indianapolis and St. Petersburg/Tampa. Service to Cancun will begin on 4/12/03 on Wednesdays and Saturdays only; service to Indianapolis will begin on 4/6/03 daily except Saturdays; and service to St. Petersburg/Tampa will begin on 2/6/02 (daily except Wednesday). ATA`s new Boeing 737-800 and 757-300 aircraft will provide the services. Customers can book reservations today.

“San Francisco has proven to be an increasingly important market for ATA,” said Stan Hula, ATA Vice President of Planning. “These multiple service enhancements will allow for greater schedule flexibility and more travel choices for both our business and leisure customers.”

Additionally, ATA will resume its seasonal summer service on Saturdays from San Francisco to Lihue, Hawaii beginning April 12, 2003, through the end of August. The carrier will also offer additional summer frequencies from San Francisco to Honolulu and Maui. Currently, ATA offers 13 weekly flights to Hawaii. Beginning June 1, 2003, the carrier will add five more flights each week to Honolulu and flights to Maui will operate daily. The summer schedule will run through the end of August.

Bay-area travelers destined to the Midwest will also find convenient schedules from San Francisco to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dayton and Toledo, Ohio, Flint and Grand Rapids, Mich., Moline and Springfield, Ill., Madison and Milwaukee, Wis. provided by ATA Connection (Chicago Express Airlines, Inc.) via Chicago`s Midway Airport. Customers will enjoy Midway`s new, modern facility featuring various eateries, retail shops and national chains with some local, Chicago favorites.
