US Airways Launches Philadelphia-St. Kitts Service

US Airways will begin nonstop service tomorrow between its Philadelphia hub and the Caribbean island of St. Kitts.

The new flights will operate between Philadelphia and St. Kitts each Saturday using Airbus A319 aircraft. The flights will depart Philadelphia at 10 a.m., and will arrive on St. Kitts at 3:24 p.m. Return flights will depart St. Kitts at 4:35 p.m., and will arrive in Philadelphia at 8:08 p.m.


The new route, Philadelphia’s 15th to the Caribbean, increases US Airways’ overall Caribbean network to 19 jet destinations. The service complements routes flown by US Airways’ GoCaribbean network carriers Caribbean Star Airlines and Windward Island Airways, from Antigua and St. Maarten.


“This new route creates an even more direct link for our customers between the U.S. and St. Kitts,” said Douglas Leo, US Airways vice president of international. “We are pleased to offer expanded options and flexibility for customers traveling through our Caribbean gateway in Philadelphia.”


As an introductory offer to celebrate the start of the new Philadelphia-St. Kitts service, US Airways Dividend Miles members can earn double miles on the route through March 15, 2003.
