FORT WORTH, Texas - American Eagle Airlines reported systemwide traffic for November increased 18.6 percent from November 2001, on a capacity increase of 16.8 percent. This is an increase in traffic of 12.7 percent on a capacity increase of 11.6 percent when compared to November 2000.
System load factor was 59.9 percent, up 0.9 points from November 2001, and up 0.6 points from November 2000.
American Eagle boarded 1.12 million passengers in November, up 8.3 percent from November 2001, but down 8.2 percent when compared to November 2000.
Due to the events of Sept. 11, 2001, comparisons of 2002 versus 2001 do not provide a good benchmark. To provide a more meaningful comparison, the attached charts also include a comparison of November 2002 with November 2000. In addition, year-to-date numbers reflect the transfer of Eagle’s Miami-based flying to the Executive operation, effective Oct. 1, 2002.
