Low Fares Now Even Lower

20th Nov 2002

British Airways’ low fares to Europe have just got even lower with the introduction of a special early booking fare.

From Thursday 21 November, the airline is offering a new lower fare on 74 routes with flights from £49 return in the UK and £59 to Europe, when purchased at least 30 days in advance of travel. There are no Saturday night stay restrictions and the fare is fully combinable with all other fares.

Flights from London Heathrow or Gatwick to Paris and Brussels cost from £59 return, saving £10 on the previous lead in fare. In the UK, flights from Birmingham to Edinburgh or Glasgow now cost from £49 return, also saving £10.

The airline has knocked £50 off a return flight from London Heathrow or Gatwick to Athens with fares now starting from £99 return when tickets are purchased 30 days in advance of travel.

Book early and pay just £69 for a return flight from Gatwick to Nice, Bordeaux, Toulouse or Marseilles, saving £30 on the previous lead in fares.
For flights to Italy, there are also savings of £30 for early bookers. Flights from Heathrow or Gatwick to Rome cost from £119 return and Gatwick to Venice, Verona or Pisa from £89, all saving £30 on the previous lead in fare.

Tiffany Hall, British Airways’ Head of UK Sales and Marketing said: “We can now fly our customers within the UK for £49 return and to Europe for £59 return including all taxes. This is a great low fare for anyone planning to travel in the new year.”
