Corporate travel managers and corporate travelers located in Canada now can purchase travel on Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) through delta.com’s Exclusive Discount Program (EDP). This capability enables corporate customers with a billing address in Canada and a negotiated corporate program with Delta to purchase tickets for travel originating in either country on delta.com.
“Delta continues to focus on making travel easier for all of our customers,” said Steve Scheper, Delta’s managing director of e-Business, business-to-consumer. “Now, Canadian corporations can take advantage of the speed and convenience of delta.com’s EDP. These time-saving enhancements create additional options for corporate traveler recognition and help the corporate travel manager stay in control.”
Delta.com’s EDP provides corporate customers the ability to purchase tickets at the fares available under their Delta corporate sales agreement, take advantage of other applicable discounted fares - including promotional Web fares - and track these online purchases for credit towards agreement performance goals. In addition, corporate travelers can earn miles in the SkyMiles program for all flown tickets issued through the EDP. These online booking capabilities reduce costs by eliminating transactional fees and providing real-time reporting tools for travel managers to more efficiently track and supervise their travel budgets. Usage reports are updated daily with the transaction information from the previous day.
When logged onto delta.com, SkyMiles members view fares in the currency correlating to their SkyMiles billing address. This allows Canadian-based SkyMiles members to see fares in Canadian dollars - regardless of flight origination. For customers who do not log in, fares for itineraries are provided in the currency of the departure city. Online customer support for Canada will be handled through Delta’s online customer service and support desks.
