Air Canada Expands Canada-Italy Service

Air Canada continues to improve air access to
Europe with the expansion of service between Canada and Italy. Effective
November 19, 2002, Air Canada will offer daily flights to Venice and Bologna
on a codeshare basis via Frankfurt in cooperation with its Star Alliance
partner, Lufthansa, and effective today offers flights between Munich and
Venice five times per week in cooperation with Lufthansa partner airline, Air
Dolomiti. Flights are scheduled to provide customers with convenient
connections to Air Canada`s non-stop flights to both Frankfurt and Munich.
Members of Air Canada`s frequent flyer program, Aeroplan, enjoy accumulation
and redemption benefits on these new services.

“Our expansion of service to Venice and Bologna, the third and fourth
largest markets, respectively, for air travel between Canada and Italy, builds
on our daily non-stop service between Toronto and Rome, and our codeshare
service between Toronto and Milan,” said Ross MacCormack, Senior Vice
President, International and Alliances. “We look forward to continuing to
improve air access between Canada and Italy, particularly to points in
southern Italy, in the new year. The addition of Venice and Bologna as new Air
Canada destinations further enhances our extensive European network and
contributes to the strength of the Star Alliance global network.”

Air Canada offers daily non-stop service between Toronto and Rome and
five times weekly codeshare service between Toronto and Milan. Air Canada also
offers daily non-stop flights between Montréal, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver
and Frankfurt, as well as non-stop flights five times weekly between Toronto
and Munich.
